His teams have been known for their run n’ shoot philosophy, often utilizing a deep wide receiver corps while skimping on running backs. The Bucs posted a solid third place showing in 2003 and were Matt First’s main competitor for most of the ’04 campaign. The Bucs were a half game out of the lead through 11 games, but lost four of their next five to fall out of the race.
