Justin Sedlecky's Conquest was the lone replacement
team in 2004, supplanting Lenna Tompkins illustrious
franchise. Some league owners were discontent
with this choice, however; mutterings behind closed
doors went so far as to insinuate that the league
was merely replacing one girl with another. Perhaps
because of the prejeduces of his fellow owners
or maybe in spite of them, Seds' team suffered
through a poor campaign punctuated by the drafting
of Tony Gonazalez with the fourth overall pick.
Conquest won their opener and their finale, but
not much in between, yet still finished only one-half
game behind The Hornyak (5-12).
